MARRIAGE LICENSES FOR SAME-SEX COUPLES AVAILABLE The County began issuing marriage licenses and offering civil marriage ceremonies to same-sex couples beginning June 17 in accordance with the California Supreme Court ruling reversing the ban on same-sex marriages. For information , go to www.lamarriage.lacounty.gov The Board of Supervisors has declared the June 3 Primary Election results to be official. A total of 812,308 ballots were cast, of which 316,136 were absentee ballots. Democratic ballots outnumbered Republican by almost two to one -- 463,256 vs. 246,172 -- and 88,305 persons cast non-partisan ballots. For a copy of the certification, click here.
